We have adopted for ourselves a mission that advocates social transformation through dynamic education. 26th April,1996 was a moment of glory for Bharati Vidyapeeth, the day on which the Government of India granted the status of University initially to a cluster of 12 Institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth on the recommendations of University Grants Commission. Today Bharati Vidyapeeth University has 29 Constituent units and perhaps it may be the largest multi disciplinary multi campus university of its kind in the country. |

Bharati Vidyapeeth University probably is the only University of its kind in the country having research institutes on its constituent units. They are Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Social Science Studies and Research, Research and Development centre in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Applied Chemistry, and Interactive Research School for Health Affairs. |
