Profile
Bharati Vidyapeeth University believes in encouraging education, training and research in the alternative systems of Medicine such as Homoeopathy and Ayurved. The Homoeopathic Medical College was established in 1990. It has its own independent spacious building. A full-fledged 4 ½ years teaching course and one year compulsory-rotating Internship is conducted. The Bachelors Degree Course in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S.) and M.D Homoeopathy course of 3 years in Homoeopathic Materia Medica, Organon of Medicine, Repertory, Homoeopathic Pharmacy and Practice of Medicine is conducted here. The College is permanently recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi and its Degree is also approved by the Government of India. The College laboratory facilities are as prescribed by the Central Council. Its library has a rich collection of textbooks and reference books. It has its own huge, 100 bedded purely Homoeopathic Hospital of 32000 sq.feet. It has an additional outdoor patient centre in the city and in the outskirts. The College is rated as one of the best colleges of Homoeopathic Medicine in the country. The N.S.S. Unit of this College is very active and has brought several laurels to the College. The library of the college is spacious and the total number of books and journals is 7781 and 30 respectively. The College has actively participated in the research activities of the Central Government as per the 5-year plan.
