My experience at BVIEER has been outstanding. The program truly offers a multidisciplinary education. The classroom training significantly enhanced my theoretical knowledge, while hands-on experience with various software and fieldwork strengthened my ability to apply geospatial technologies in real-world scenarios. This strong theoretical foundation helped me clear GATE in two consecutive years, and the practical experience empowered me to excel in dynamic environments, particularly in projects and research. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provoke critical thinking and encourage innovative problem-solving. A testament to this is my team's success in winning the Geo-Innovation Challenge for Climate Change and Disaster Mitigation held under a DST, Government of India initiative. Collaborating with the University of Cologne, Germany provided me with an invaluable cross-cultural learning experience. The course on Urban Microclimatology allowed us to explore interdisciplinary topics and engage with international students. Our fieldwork in Kanha National Park and Mulshi, alongside these students, deepened our understanding of ecology and underscored the significance of geospatial technologies in conservation efforts. The teaching style at BVIEER is exceptional. The professors, with their extensive expertise, make complex subjects both accessible and engaging. The limited hand-holding approach in assignments and research work fosters self-learning and independence, crucial skills for any researcher.
If you're looking to develop a deep understanding and the ability to enhance your learning capabilities, BVIEER is the perfect place for you.
