Overview

The Institute of Management, Kolhapur, which is a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, Pune, was set up in 1994 under the mentorship of Dr. Patangrao Kadam. The objective of setting up the institute was to provide quality education in management sciences.

Till 2005, the Institute was affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur and was brought under BVDU, Pune as a constituent unit from the academic year 2005-06.

The institute has made a mark for itself in the field of management and in addition to being accorded recognition by the Government of Maharashtra, it has also been approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The MBA and MCA programmes offered by the institute have also been given approval by the AICTE.

The Institute has a huge building covering an area of 32,258 sq. ft. with classrooms measuring as much as 710 sq. ft. There is a spacious library spread out over 2600 sq. ft. with 16,300 books and 114 journals. It is a matter of pride that the papers of our highly qualified faculty members are published in both national as well as international journals.
