Overview

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Physical Education, established on September 1, 1994, is a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University). The college is recognized by NCTE and is graded 'A' by NAAC, as per the UGC Act 1956, vide notification No.F9.15.U.3 of the Govt. of India. All courses offered by the college are self-financed.

The College of Physical Education offers a variety of courses such as a 3-year B.P.E.S graduate course, a 2-year B.P.Ed degree, a 2-year M.P.Ed, and a Ph.D. in Physical Education. The syllabi of these courses are designed to prepare professionally qualified teachers for classrooms as well as playgrounds. The college has an independent building, a full-fledged Gymnasium, and a spacious well-nurtured playground of different games with a 400m standard track.

Additionally, the college offers a 1-year diploma in coaching Volleyball and Basketball and a 1-year Diploma in Yoga. It also conducts a six-week long certificate course in Gym Instructor, and yoga. The degree awarded by the college is accepted by the Government of Maharashtra, as well as other state governments in India and abroad, for the appointment of teachers in schools, colleges, and universities. The college also deputes teams of sportspersons for participation in inter-university and other national and international sports tournaments.

The College of Physical Education, (Deemed to be University), aims to produce knowledgeable and well-trained professionals in the field of physical education, coaching, and fitness.
