Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics

About Department

Established in 2008, the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics deals with the diagnosis, treatment planning and restoration of teeth to reproduce function and aesthetics.

The endodontics section deals with root canal treatment, regenerative endodontics, and periapical surgeries. The department provides quality treatment with modern dental units, a radiographic room, the latest instruments and dental materials. Qualified and dedicated staff are present to train the undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The faculty has excellent expertise and clinical experience. Over the years, the faculty has undertaken different research projects and contributed to the chapters in the various textbooks of the field.

Objective

“To provide quality treatment with state-of-the-art equipment and instruments and to provide high standards of teaching and learning.” We not only Conserve and Preserve the sound tooth structure, but also Restore the form and function of teeth.

Following are the highlights of the department:

63 phantom heads for undergraduate and postgraduate training.
34 fully-equipped electronic dental chairs for U.G. students.
Individual cabinets and centrally air-conditioned PG clinic.
Seminar room with state-of-the-art LCD screen and T.V. for presentation of seminars, Journal clubs, case presentations, etc.
The department has all advanced gadgets like digital radiography, dental operating microscope, endosonics, endo motors, LED curing units, latest obturating systems, etc.
Well-equipped isolated operatory for micro-endodontic surgical procedures.
Metal & ceramic casting laboratory.
