Research

The Department of Biochemistry is actively involved in carrying out various collaborative research projects with other departments of the medical college that are the constituent units of BVDU and the outside universities. Our faculty extends their consultancy in guiding the research projects in various aspects of clinical biochemistry testing or molecular diagnostic studies.

Research Areas

The research-intensive Department of Biochemistry is actively involved in carrying out research in innovative areas to advance health care. It encompasses a range of advanced research topics in the field of Biochemistry. Some of the thrust areas of research are oxidative stress and antioxidants, experimental cataract, endocrine disorders, molecular biology, laboratory medicine, biochemical markers in COVID 19, medical education, non-communicable diseases.
