Research

The Department of Community Medicine is committed to promoting research and inculcating the research culture in undergraduate students. It conducts a Research Methodology workshop for the postgraduate and doctoral students and provides Methodology and Statistical guidance for research projects. It validates the research tools developed by the students of varied disciplines, including M.Sc. Nursing, etc.

Research Areas

Routine childhood immunization, various areas of COVID namely home care; household secondary attack rate; vaccine hesitancy and new onset Diabetes, maternal morbidity, respiratory diseases specifically childhood pneumonia and drug resistant TB, non-communicable diseases, evaluation of telemedicine

Publications

The groundbreaking research works of our students and faculty members from the Community Medicine department have got published 50 journals in last 5 years. At present, 38 national publications and international publications are credited.
