Programme Overview

Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry or Ph.D.Biochemistry is of three years of minimum duration programme during which the students acquire knowledge about chemical processes in living organisms and living matter on a molecular level. Also candidates will study comprehensively about biomolecules.

Programme Outcomes

Research Methodology - A key outcome of Ph.D. in Biochemistry is that one will learn the process of research, methodology to be adopted, design tools of research as well as objectives and dimensions of research.
Scientific proposal and paper writing - This is an important aspect where the student will know about the creating a hypothesis, objectives, expected outcome, work plan, significance and techniques of research.
Analytical Techniques - Students will also get to know about the chemical and enzymatic methods of carbohydrate analysis, isolation and purification of nucleic acids.
