Programme Overview

A three to five-year doctorate course. Ph.D. in Biotechnology is a specialization course which any postgraduate student in biotechnology or bioinformatics can pursue. In this course students study subjects like Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics & Biostatistics, Statistics & Probability Theory, Research Methodology, Scientific Communication, Recent Trends in Biotechnology, etc.

Importance of Bioethics - Students learn about the significance that is attached to bioethics, IPR, entrepreneurship, communication so that they Indian industrialists are able to develop mechanisms and systems that will cater to the next generation
Knowledge - Students after completing this course learn more about topics like Biological Chemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Analytical Techniques and Bioinformatics.
Entrepreneurs - This course also allows the students to start their own business like research labs, etc.
