The library in any organization plays a very crucial role in the academic enhancement of the institution. In this rapidly changing information technology environment to cater to the diversified information needs of the users and to efficiently manage the library these personnel (staff) require certain skills. The Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Yashwantrao YashwantraoMohite College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune has started the Bachelor of Library and Information Science; Master of Library and Information Science and Ph.D. in Library & Information Science from the academic year 1997.
