“It is indeed my proud privilege to introduce the Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), College of Ayurved, Pune.
Established on 16th August 1990 the College of Ayurved has steadily progressed towards creating an outstanding position for itself. It is a feather in our cap that we are one of those very rare colleges to have an undergraduate course (B.A.M.S.) with an intake capacity of 100 students, postgraduate (M.D./M.S.) courses in fourteen specialties, Ph.D. programmes in Ayurved and a Diploma in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences. Since 2012, PG Diplomas in 5 subjects with an intake capacity of 10 students have also been started.
We strive to impart knowledge of Ayurved to our students with a scientific approach. We insist on the upgrading of the knowledge of our faculty and students alike and are staunch believers in the fact that regular interaction with experts, scholars and peers is the very foundation of a sound academic set-up. This is achieved by the organization of national and international workshops, seminars and conferences by the institution itself. We instigate and wholeheartedly support the participation of our faculty and postgraduate scholars in various such events within or outside the institution. Curricular and co-curricular activities are diligently included in the academic calendar so as to promote the overall personality development of our students. This instils in them the confidence to accept any challenge in their future lives.
Highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic staff is the backbone of all these achievements. Graduates and Postgraduates from this faculty have achieved top-notch positions in various Ayurvedic areas and have also made an individual mark while undertaking their own practices. This is possible only due to the unconditional support of the management that makes the uphill task of running the institution smoothly.
