Library

The college library was established to create an excellent library atmosphere and ambience with its world-class interior. The library is well-equipped with a large number of books of Indian and Foreign authors and various National and International Journals. There are an adequate number of text and reference books for all dental and medical subjects. The library also has subscriptions for 52 Foreign Journals and 33 Indian Journals.

The students and teachers to study all day without any disturbances can use three spacious separate reading halls. On working days, the reading room facility is available for the students from 9 AM to 9 PM. The library also offers an internet facility to the students.

Membership

In general, each year, about 100 UG students & 18 PG Students enroll their names to avail library services. It includes all students, Faculty, Research Scholars, Administrative Staff, Members of sister institution and occasional faculties of other colleges in the region.

Classification Cataloguing

Library uses DDC system for classification of books and AACR – II for Cataloguing. Class numbers are updated as per the need especially for new growing branches in the subject.

Reading facility

College has a spacious and well-equipped reading room facility available.

Classrooms

Dental College and Hospital, Sangli offers spacious, ventilated and well-equipped classrooms on the campus building. To ensure that the students have a comfortable academic life, the classrooms are updated with the required latest technology.

Automation Status

Library has installed SOUL - Software for University Libraries and Impulse I-Con InfoTech Library Management Software. Bar-Coding work of all documents has been completed. Library has been started functioning in Library Management Software & Koha - OPEN- Source Integrated Library System.Library OPAC Link (Koha Software)

Library Committee

Library has constituted Library Advisory Committee since the beginning of the college for smooth functioning of library. The activities include framing rules for users, Budget provision, Purchase Books & Journals, new plans etc.

Auditorium

The college organizes various conferences on the campus on an annual basis. To accommodate the various requests of the conference programmes, the halls have been equipped with the latest technology and equipment. The lecture halls/seminar halls are another well-used facility of the college. The halls have been designed and equipped to provide the best experience to the students and faculty during the seminars or lectures.
