Academic Experience
Our students experience a unique academic journey amidst the positive learning environment in the College of Engineering. Apart from offering in-depth technical knowledge in information technology, they are taught communication skills and provided hands-on experience on live projects. Also, in-plant training is included in the course to expose them to the latest IT trends. Every year more than 50 reputed companies including TCS, HCL, Zensar, HCL Infosystems, DRDO, etc. approach our college to impart in-plant training to our students.
Academic Infrastructure
The Information Technology department has state-of-the-art academic facilities including a well-stocked library and well-equipped laboratories. It has made a substantial investment to establish specialized laboratories in Operating Systems, Multimedia Computing, and Software Engineering.
Department Information
The Department of Information Technology is established in year 2001. Currently the department runs two programmes viz. B.tech (IT) and M.Tech (IT). Department has well equipped laboratories with state-of-art machines and upgraded curriculum which is developed by academicians and industry experts with very close link to the industry. The Department of Information Technology has made substantial investment in its laboratories. The Department has specialized laboratories in Operating Systems, Multimedia Computing and Software Engineering. The Information Technology Student Association (ITSA) organizes various events and expert lectures on different platforms. Apart from giving thorough technical knowledge using the state-of art technology, the students are taught communication skills and are given work experience on live projects. Also, in-plant training is included in the course to expose the students to latest IT trends. Every year more than 50 companies approach to impart in-plant training to the students. Similarly prominent companies approach the institute for the placement. Some of the prominent companies where the students of the department are placed are, Amazon, Veritas, TCS, HCL, Zensar, HCL Infosystems, DRDO, etc
