HACKNOVA 2026
Theme of the Hackathon – HACKNOVA 2026, Hack the Hackers, 36 Hours Challenge was held in the Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Department of Management Studies, off Campus, Navi Mumbai, Kharghar in collaboration with IIC Cell of BV(DU)DMS, HACKNOVA-2026 is a national-level hackathon that brings together students who are innovators, developers, and tech enthusiasts from the different institutions of all over India to solve real-world problems. It was a platform to brainstorm, design, and build solutions on the various themes declared in the first phase of HACKNOVA-2026 promotion.
Registrations- There were 217 student’s registrations from all over the India.

Commencement of HACKNOVA stepped ahead with the Launch of six specific problem statements under themes like
Theme1: Sustainable Innovation & Green Technology,
Theme2: Food Safety & Public Health,
Theme3: Smart Cities & Urban Development, Theme4: Environmental Sustainability & Urban Greening, Theme5: Assistive Technology & Inclusive Education, Theme6: Logistics, Mobility & Supply Chain Innovation, based on these themes and its respective problem statements as open innovation domain were kept open for students over India. In the first round of the hackathon, students from across the nation submitted their ideas in the form of PPT presentations. 56 teams which includes total of 219 students participated in this submission process in the online round held from dated 10 October, 2025 to 11 November, 2025. Phase 1 Shortlisted Team’s names announced on 20 November 2025. Mentoring session 1,2 and 3 kept before the competition dates to encourage participant and to make them aware about all the rules and norms of HACKNOVA event.
These Teams arrived at the venue and the offline event began on 10th January, 2026 at 7:30 am. The event began with an inaugural session graced by Honourable Reginal Director Dr. VilasRao Kadam Bharati Vidyapeeth(Deemed to be University), Dean-FMS & Director BV(DU)DMS Dr. Premasish Roy and Dr. Mona Sinha (Head of Department BV(DU)DMS), along with all the Faculty team of BV(DU)DMS.
It was a 36 hour nonstop coding event, Domain experts and technical experts were invited as mentors for the event, Mr. Anup Chandra, Tata Communications, Country Head, Mr. Prakash Dubey, Coversure, Co-Founder & Chief Distribution Officer, Mr. R. Then teams presented their ideas to mentors and judges on dated 11th January 2026. Mr. Mahaveer Agarwal, Technical Director at KPMG, Mr. Devorut Jadhav CEO, Rayat Centenary Innovation and Incubation Foundation, Dr. Sanjay Goel, Founder - Aryavarta Heritage Foundation, Chairman – GTC, Mr. Vikrant Jharia, Business Head at The Covie, Mr. Ranjeev Kumar, Chief General Manager, Mumbai Circle Head, Canara Bank, Mr. Praveen Kumar Marketing head Canara Bank, Mr. Anshuman Neil Basu, Executive Director, SCM Pro-grams | India Representative, Global, Environment Centre Japan | Secretary General, ASCP | SONY, 3M, Philips, CSCMP, Tata Group | XLRI,. This event blessed with Guest of Honour, Swami Dayadhipananda, MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT- Ramakrishna Mission Hospital" Dedicated monk of the Ramakrishna Order with expertise in Holistic Medicine (merging physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health). Committed to public service inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s ideals, with a focus on promoting holistic wellness and advancing healthcare management for societal benefit with the ideal of “Atmano Mokshartham Jagat Hitaya Cha” (For the Salvation of One Self & Good of the society). And Our Chief Guest Mr. Deepak Saxena presence and their word of wisdom was encouraged everyone to work dedicatedly toward the benefits of Nation’s sustainable growth.
It concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where awards for Best prototype were presented. Dr.Premasish Roy delivered the closing remarks, appreciating the efforts of the organising team and student volunteers for the successful execution of very first series of HACKNOVA 2026.
