Programme Overview

MDS Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry is a three-year postgraduation programme where the students get to know about the comprehensive oral health requirements of children from birth until they turn into adults. During the three-year period, students will get to study about Orthodontics, Periodontology, Prosthodontics, Oral Pathology, Paediatrics, etc.

Programme Outcomes

Understanding of Basics - The students will get a sound understanding about applied anatomy, nutrition, dietetics, growth and development, cardiology and fluoride as well as applied psychology.
Clinical Paedodontics - As part of the course, students become efficient to diagnose and treat the dental diseases which have occurred in children and are also able to restore, repair the lost structure.
Preventive and Community Dentistry - Students learn the art of inculcating positive attitude among the kids and children with regard to oral health. Also, they learn the principles of prevention and preventive dentistry right from the birth of the child to adolescence
