Programme Overview

Master of Dental Surgery (Periodontology) is a 3 year postgraduate programme where the students get to know about the diseases related to the structure and parts of teeth including gums, periodontal membranes, cementum and alveolar bone. The students also get to know about how to prevent the disease from occurring and what measures need to be taken to cure it.

Programme Outcomes

Development of Ethical Practice and Values - Candidates are expected to adopt ethical practices with regard to restorative and contemporary Endodontics including non- surgical and surgical Endodontics.
Monitoring and treatment of patients - Students get to learn about the diagnosis and undertake complete patient monitoring. Also provide life-saving support in case a medical emergency arises.
Use of information and technology tools - Students get to know how to use various information and technology tools while they undertake both basic and clinical research.
