Kaustubh Prabhakar Gogate is a photographer, educator, and creative professional with over
16 years of experience in professional photography, media, and education. He is the founder
of Greymark Photographics®, with hands-on expertise in commercial, product, industrial,
corporate, event, interior, and documentary photography.
With a background spanning theatre, mass communication and media studies, photography,
experiential education, visual storytelling, and curriculum design, Kaustubh brings an
interdisciplinary and practice-oriented approach to photography education. He has served as
senior faculty at leading media institutions, conducted workshops with organisations
including Canon Imaging Academy, and contributed to curriculum development with MESC
and NCVET.
His teaching philosophy is rooted in experiential and reflective learning, encouraging students
to develop photography through observation, experimentation, practice, critical thinking, and
doing. He integrates aesthetics, technology, visual language, and real-world industry practce
to nurture independent and reflective photographers.
Kaustubh is also engaged in cultural documentation, visual-poetic expression, and creative
writing. He is the author of the Marathi poetry collection Kavit and is currently working on The
Experiential Photographer: Learning Through Doing, exploring photography education
through experiential pedagogy. His academic interests include practice-based research,
photography pedagogy, curriculum innovation, visual culture, and interdisciplinary learning.
