Programme Overview

Master of Library & Information Science is two years post graduate programme wherein the students are taught about the advanced principles related to library as well as information science practices. Students will get to study about Library Management, Research Methodology, Planning and Management, Computer Basics and Applications.

Programme Outcomes

Learn about management of Library and Information System - This course will enable the students to know about the general tools, techniques and principles pertaining to library management and information system.
Retrieval of Information - Students are trained to retrieve the necessary information swiftly and also manage the data that is stored in large volumes.
Knowledge about bibliographic data - While pursuing the course, students also get to know about the instructions and guidelines with regard to formulating bibliographic data. This data is developed so that it can be used by libraries and other cultural organizations such as museums and archives.
