About Department

The Department of Pedodontics focuses on the oral health of infants and children through adolescence, including those with special care needs. The target population of Pedodontics is 14 years and below.

The main aim of the department is to detect and treat all diseases and abnormal conditions in their early stages. The faculty provides quality dental treatment to children and caters to the diverse oral health care needs of children. To provide quality teaching to the students, the faculty is updated with their knowledge and promote research.

Goal

  • To give each child patient primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic dental care. To instill in every child a positive approach towards dental treatment.
  • To guide and motivate children in inculcating good oral health habits that will prevent and control dental diseases.
  • Comprehensive monitoring of the developing dentition in a child and applying suitable measures to guide it to normal occlusion.
  • To create not only a good patient but a good citizen of tomorrow.
