About Department

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has aims to impart quality education to undergraduate and postgraduate students so that they can attain precision and enhancement of surgical skills.

The dental museum on the campus displays, posters and models meant for dental health awareness and education of the general public. The department is associated with ABMSS (Deutsche cleft) organization, which provides funds to operate cleft lip and palate surgeries for underprivileged patients. 45 dental chairs in the department deal with the management of tooth extractions and disimpactions.

The patients of the department are provided with quality care at an affordable cost. The department is popular for performing surgical treatment on cysts and tumours, head and neck fractures, pre-prosthetic, orthognathic and cosmetic surgeries.

  • For PG students there are separate clinical compartments.
  • Well-organized, well equipped sterilization rooms.
  • Well-educated and trained Nursing staff.

  • Mahatma Jyotiba Phule scheme for subsidized trauma care.
  • Memorandum of understanding with ABMSS cleft for free cleft surgeries.
  • Memorandum of understanding with RBSK for free surgeries.
