Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Environment Education and Research, Pune warmly welcomed students from the University of Cologne, Germany, who have arrived on campus to commence Semester II of the Joint International Master of Environmental Sustainability (JIMES) programme. The arrival of the German cohort marks an important phase of this unique international joint programme, jointly offered by Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), India, and the University of Cologne, Germany.

An Induction Programme was organized to orient the visiting students to the academic structure, campus facilities and cultural context. Faculty members introduced the curriculum for Semester II, outlined course expectations, and highlighted opportunities for field-based learning and interdisciplinary engagement in the Indian context. Dr. Amisha Jain, Head of Regional Office (India & South Asia), University of Cologne conducted a workshop on Intercultural competencies setting the tone of the program
