Financial Preparation

At the time of admission, tuition and other fees are due. Therefore, it's imperative to have sufficient funds available for these payments. Failure to provide the necessary documents or complete the fee payment may result in admission being denied. The admission deadline, as specified in your acceptance letter, must also be adhered to for a smooth transition into the university.

Transitioning to English Language Program

Admission Journey for International Students

At Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), we're committed to ensuring a streamlined and transparent admission procedure for international students seeking entry into various degree programs. Here's your comprehensive guide to embarking on this transformative journey:

Step 1
Application Submission

Begin by completing our online application form, where you'll provide essential details, upload necessary documents, and process the payment of the processing fee i.e. US $ 25 for UG and PG courses and US $ 45 for Ph.D.

Step 2
Provisional Eligibility Letter

Once your application is received and evaluated, the university authorities will issue a Provisional Admission/ Eligibility Letter, provided you meet all criteria, a seat is available and payment of eligibility fee of US $ 400 for UG courses and US $ 500 for PG/Ph.D. (All fees are Non-refundable). This letter holds great significance, as it enables you to secure a student visa by submitting it to the Indian mission/consulate/embassy in your country.

Step 3
Final Admission

Upon securing the student visa and fulfilling all requirements, the university authorities, through their constituent units, will release the final admission letter. This step is subject to seat availability at the time and payment of tuition fees for the respective academic year.

Notably, even NRI/PIO/OCI students possessing multiple entry VISAs need to procure the provisional admission letter. It's a mandatory step, regardless of your VISA status.

Step 4
Firm Admission

To finalize your provisional admission, you need to complete the following actions:

  • Present original academic transcripts, degrees, certificates, etc.
  • Present your passport with a Student Visa endorsed to Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University).
  • Submit the original eligibility letter.
  • Complete payment of all relevant fees and provide receipts as proof.
  • Obtain medical check-up clearance, including a physician's general fitness certificate.
  • Engage in a personal interview/counseling.
  • Join the college.
  • Submit original documents, which will be returned within 2-3 months.
  • Submit the Anti Ragging Undertaking.
  • Abide by the rules and regulations of the University as outlined in the undertaking.

If at any point, a student is found ineligible for admission, the university reserves the right to cancel their admission.

Vital Reminders for International Students

Students must adhere to the following

  • Report within the specified timeframe, usually between June 30th to July 30th, or the date mentioned in the provisional eligibility letter, whichever comes first. (Ph.D. admissions are exempted from this requirement.)

Undergraduate (Bachelors) and Diploma Programs

Personal Documents
  • A copy of the student's passport. SAARC country students must also provide proof of residence along with their passport.
  • NRI students with NRI/PIO/OCI cards must submit a copy of the same.
  • For African, Iranian, Iraqi, UAE, Dubai students, parents' identity proof with citizenship number and residential proof copy is required.
  • Copy of the first and visa pages of parents' passport or NRI certificate or proof of residence for parents of NRI students.
  • Two passport-size photographs of the student.
  • Nepali students require a NOC from the government to apply from Nepal.
Academic Documents
  • Attested copies of all relevant educational transcripts, passing certificates, diplomas, etc. (Refer to the provided links for specific document lists).
  • Equivalence and transcripts for students from non-CBSE schools without scores. Equivalence should be done from AIU.
Medical Documents

  • Purchase Ph.D. brochure along with the form by depositing US $45.
  • Submit the application form with required documents and a brief note on research interests.
  • The application will be forwarded to the Ph.D. section for processing.
  • Admission to the Ph.D. program will be finalized based on an interview conducted by a university-appointed committee. The candidate must be physically present during the interview.

General important instructions

  • Please read the guidelines or procedure of admission before filling in the Online Application form.
  • Please write the correct name and Surname on the application form as no changes will be allowed later.
  • A Valid Student Visa is necessary on arrival for admission to be completed. No admission will be granted on Tourist Visa / X Visa /Entry Visa/ Medical Visa.
  • All Documents needs to be translated into English.
  • In case of foreign national it is mandatory that Ministry of Education or Indian Embassy in your country or your Country Mission i.e. your Embassy or Consulate in India attests the mark sheets.
  • It is mandatory for all students to produce the same documents in original at the time of Firm Admission submission, as have been uploaded at the time of filling the form.
  • Only Students having passed 12th Std. are eligible for bachelor’s Admission.
  • Only students having bachelor’s degree are eligible for Masters Admission.
  • In case the documents are found to be fake at the time of submission, the case will be rejected, and legal action will be taken under Indian Penal Code.
  • All Foreign Nationals, Children of Indians Working in Gulf & Southeast Asia and PIO/OCI are requested to obtain detailed information on fees, for courses available at the University’s constituent units before confirming the admission, from the Office of International Affairs.
  • College seat will be allotted randomly from among the preferences/marks & eligibility, or in case of non-availability of seats in a particular college, the Director, Office of International Affairs will allot any college. It is mandatory for the student to accept the same. In any case, if the college has been allotted to student no request will be entertained for change of college even on medical grounds.
  • Once the seat (College) is allotted, no changes will be allowed under any circumstances.
  • In any circumstances, fees, once paid at the Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), are not refundable.
  • All foreign students from non-English speaking countries have to appear for English Proficiency Test (EPT).
  • Strict action will be taken against students who do not appear for English Proficiency Test (EPT). Students who fail or do not appear for EPT, have to compulsorily attend the Remedial Course. (Details can be obtained from the Office of International Affairs).
  • All applicants must complete their Medical Check-Up within three months from the date of firm admission.
  • Students will not work with any Institute/Firm during the period of study. In case they are approached, they will have to inform FRRO.
  • No Indian can apply on behalf of an international student.
  • Students having any discrepancy should clear it on time in order to get their Final Eligibility Letter.
  • Student will have to report to FRRO within fourteen days of arrival and as and when necessary.
  • Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) or its Office of International Relation is not responsible for the lectures, internal assessments etc. that the student misses due to late admission, or for any other reason.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PIO/OCI, CHILDREN OF INDIANS WORKING IN GULF/ SOUTHEAST ASIA

  • Only a father or mother working in the Gulf or S.E. Asia may sponsor the student for admission.
  • All documents need to be translated into English.
  • It is not mandatory for the sponsor parent to produce all the uploaded documents in the original. But it is mandatory to produce attested documents uploaded on the portal.
  • Only the Passing Certificate may be pending, as it arrives late.
  • Only those documents which have been uploaded earlier will be considered valid at the time of submission.
  • Original Marksheet is mandatory. Do not upload any documents unless you have the original marksheet.
  • In case the student has a Marksheet from a foreign university it should be accompanied with an Equivalence Certificate, from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
  • In case the documents are found to be fake at the time of submission, the case will be rejected, and legal action will be taken under Indian Penal Code.
  • During the first stage only Provisional Eligibility letter of Admission will be issued which may be cancelled in case all documents are not original or as per the uploaded list.
  • Visit the Office of International Affairs with all uploaded original documents after you receive the Provisional Eligibility Letter of Admission.

Important admission related instructions

  • Fees charged for International Student is five times the fees of Indian Student
  • Provisional admission is not a guarantee for Final admission.
  • Registration Fees (Procession, Eligibility, Medical Checkup & Insurance and English Proficiency Test Fee) are non-refundable.
  • Students who are particular about specific college for UNDERGRADUATE course should come well in advance.
  • The University Departments have the credit system, and all classes begin in July/August. So, students who desire admission to the University should report to the Office of International Affairs at Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) in July or before 31st July.
  • This instruction is for International Students who have passed the qualifying examination from outside of India and require fresh "Students Visa" for admission to various courses. For such students, the admissions have been centralized and it is the Office of International Affairs, which will issue the Provisional Eligibility Letter of admission, as per the procedure and the rules laid down in this regard. Fresh International Students are required to pay Processing, Eligibility, Medical Checkup & Insurance and English Proficiency Test Fee in addition to tuition fee, examination fee and other applicable fees.
  • An international student wishing to undertake M.Phil./ Ph.D. or any other research degree at any College/ Institute of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), MUST have prior security clearance from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi and MUST BE on "RESEARCH" visa endorsed by Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) only.
  • TRANSFERS : Once an international student has taken admission in a particular College/ Institution, he/ she shall not be allowed to change the College/ Institution if the name of that College/ Institution is endorsed/mentioned in the students Visa. In other words, he/ she shall be required to study in the College/ Institution which is mentioned in the students Visa. In special circumstances, an international student seeking a transfer from one college to another must apply to the Office of International Affairs and Registrar office for such a transfer with NO OBJECTION LETTER from the Principal/Director of the concerned College/Institute where he was originally admitted and an ACCEPTANCE LETTER from the Principal/Director of the college/Institute where he/she wishes to join. The student can join the new college only after he/ she has been issued a TRANSFER LETTER by the Office of International Affairs /Registrar Office.
  • Admission of International Students other than FRESH and MIGRATING International Students - All International Students who are already registered under Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) and want to continue their next degree under Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) will have to pay applicable processing and eligibility fee along with tuition and other applicable fees.
  • International Students who are not registered with the Office of International Affairs shall not be permitted to appear at the University examinations.

  • The student must always read the Notices/ circulars put up on the NOTICE BOARD of the college/ Department/ Institution concerned and the University.
  • Regarding information about admissions to medical and dental courses please contact “Directorate of Medical Education & Research”.
  • Admission to professional courses is centralized and controlled by the Government of Maharashtra. The International Student, therefore, would have to approach "The Directorate of Technical Education/ Medical Education" on the address stated below :

    b) The Directorate of Medical Education & Research Government of Maharashtra, Dental College Building, St. George Hospital Compound, Mumbai 400 001 N.B.: The information provided above in general and under this chapter, in particular, is subject to change without notice.
  • IMPORTANT After admission is given by the State Government, the International Student will have to approach The Director, Office of International Affairs, First Floor, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Near Alka Theatre, Deccan, Pune – 411 030
  • Police Registration : The student should Register in FRO within 14 days of his/her arrival failing which he will be fined.
  • The student should note that his admission stands automatically cancelled if :
    • He/ She fails to obtain long term Student/ Research Visa in the name of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) only from the Indian Embassy in his/ her country on the basis of the letter of provisional admission.
    • He/ She fails to produce Original Statement of marks/ Grade point average certificate of the last qualifying examination at the time of admission.
    • He/ She fails to appear and pass the proficiency test in English, entrance, and other tests where- ever prescribed.
    • He/ She is found to be medically unfit.
    • He/ She fails to fulfil any condition of eligibility.

Apply for Provisional Eligibility Letter

Once you receive the provisional eligibility letter from Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), initiate the process to obtain a Student Visa.

Apply for Student Visa

Visit : www.indianvisaonline.gov.in to apply for your Student Visa. The Indian Mission will provide you with information on the average processing time for your visa application.

Step 3

Visa Endorsement to Bharati Vidyapeeth

Ensure that your Student Visa is endorsed specifically to Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) by the visa issuing authority.

Processing Fee Payment

When submitting your application form along with documents, pay the Processing Fee of US $ 25 for UG/Diploma/PG/PG Diploma and US $ 45 for Ph.D.

Eligibility Fee Payment

While filling admission form, pay an Eligibility Fee of US $ 400 for any bachelor's program and US $ 500 for any master’s or Ph.D. programs.

Medical Checkup and English Proficiency Test Fees

Along with the Provisional Admission Letter, also pay a Medical Checkup fee of US $ 100 and an English Proficiency Test Fee of US $ 25 for all Diploma, Certificate, Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. programs.

These fees are paid once and are non-refundable.

Tuition Fees

Upon firm admission, the student must pay all applicable fees, including tuition fees as prescribed by the University.

The Processing Fee, Provisional/Eligibility fees, Medical Checkup Fee, and English Proficiency Test Fee paid are non-refundable and valid only for that academic year, such as 2023-24.

If a student does not obtain a student visa or cannot join the course in the specified year, a fresh application must be made for the subsequent year (e.g., 2024-25).
