Ph.D. (Pharmaceutics)

Programme Overview

Ph.D. (Pharmacy) is a doctorate course of a minimum of three years that focuses on creating research experts who are well versed in the field of pharmaceutical technology and its other aspects. Students will also be exposed to practical based training and research so that they can contribute to the field and work as professional pharmaceutical sciences professionals.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO) - Pharm. D. and Pharm. D. (PB)

To provide a comprehensive pharmaceutical education leading to Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree.
To provide hands on training through state of art infrastructure to meet challenges of drug discovery and pharmaceutical care.
To integrate knowledge and skills with clinical research to promote health care.
Understand and appreciate the role of health care education in the development of society and on mankind’s welfare.
To inculcate leadership capabilities as member of health care team.

Programme Outcomes

Demonstrate knowledge of pharmacy practice and the ability to acquire, manage and use current information for problem solving, patient-specific, population-specific, evidence-based care to promote safe and optimal pharmacotherapy outcomes.
Identify the rules and regulations involved in the drug discovery and development, distribution, sale and safe use of medicines and participate in the development of drug use policy.
Apply critical thinking skills, including investigation, application, analysis, creativity, synthesis and evaluation of information, data and documents related to drug, poison, clinical investigations, pharmaceutical care and practices.
