ICMR funded Interdisciplinary project titled’ Audio-vestibular test battery in differential diagnosis of patients with vestibular disorders’

Video head impulse equipment has been (vHIT) which is a novel technique for assessing Vestibular system (all the six semicircular canals) has been procured through funds from ICMR. This test provides information about the functioning of all six semicircular canals which helps in balance during head movement in different directions. Addition of this test to the existing test battery will increase sensitivity and specificity of the test battery for diagnosis which in turn will enable appropriate treatment. Dr. Sharda Sarda, Professor & HOD Audiology is the Principal Investigator of the ICMR funded project and Dr. C.S.Vanaja, Principal, BV (DU) SASLP; Dr. Maitri Kaushik, Prof. ENT dept., Bharati Hospital & Research Center; Br. Dr. SP Gorthi, HOD Neurology dept. BHRC; Dr Pricilla Joshi (Prof &HOD, Radiology Dept. )
