Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics is the specialty of dentistry that focuses on alignment of teeth. The practice of this specialty to patients of all ages includes diagnosis, prevention, interception and treatment of all forms of malocclusions of the teeth. Ever since its inception in the year 2007, today it is well known for its undergraduate and postgraduate program. The department houses 18 fully automated dental chairs for undergraduates and a fully air-conditioned PG clinic with 11 spacious cubicles for every clinician. We have well equipped laboratory with Biostar machine, plaster dispensers, Hydro-soldering unit, Electro polisher etc. For precise records, diagnosis and treatment planning, the department aids with exclusive ‘Photography room’ and advanced ‘Dolphin Imaging Software’. The faculties are committed to profession, train UG’s and PG’s all forms of orthodontic techniques developing their skills and knowledge in the field rendering them competency to deliver ‘Quality Patient Care.

The Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics is dedicated to excellence in patient care, academics, and research. Orthodontics is the specialty of dentistry concerned with the diagnosis, prevention, interception, and correction of malocclusion and dentofacial deformities, providing comprehensive treatment for patients of all age groups.

Established in 2007, the department has evolved into one of the premier centres for undergraduate and postgraduate education in orthodontics. With a strong commitment to academic excellence, clinical expertise, and evidence-based practice, the department strives to nurture competent clinicians, researchers, and academicians while delivering the highest standards of patient care.

Our state-of-the-art clinical infrastructure includes 18 fully automated undergraduate dental chairs and a modern, fully air-conditioned postgraduate clinic comprising 21 advanced clinical cubicles, providing an ideal environment for comprehensive clinical training. The department also houses a dedicated undergraduate preclinical laboratory, enabling students to develop fundamental orthodontic skills before entering clinical practice.

The department is equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment planning facilities, including an exclusive clinical photography suite, Dolphin Imaging Software, and the latest Cephalometric Imaging and Analysis Software, ensuring precision in diagnosis, treatment planning, and outcome assessment.
