About Department

Department deals to provide the students with knowledge of Medico Legal responsibilities in the practice of Homoeopathy. Forensic Medicine brings Law and Medicine together for preparing medical students for their medical, legal and social duties in medical profession. To be aware of Medical Ethics, Etiquette, Duties, rights, Medical Negligence & legal responsibilities of the physician towards patient, profession, society, state & Humanity. The department has adequate space with faculty room, demonstration room and museum.

Objectives

  • Identify, examine and learning of report or certificate in medico-legal cases/situations in accordance with the law of land
  • Be conversant with medical ethics, etiquette, duties, rights, medical negligence and legal responsibilities of the physicians towards patients, profession, society, state and humanity at large.
  • Be aware of relevant legal/court procedures applicable to the medico legal/ medical practice.

Facilities - The department is having Demonstration room and Museum having various Models, Weapons, Charts of medico legal cases and various legislation Acts.

Department Activity-

1. UG students-Visit to Government Forensic Science Laboratory.

2. Interns -Training for writing of Certificate of Medical Fitness, Birth, Sickness & Death.

The Department seeks to combine excellence in education.

We have hard working students, young and dynamic faculty and very healthy work culture.
I am confident that the students of the department would justify the creditability of the department.
