Institute’s faculty member of Computer Applications department Dr. Suvarna Patil attended a 5 day Faculty Development Program organized by C-DAC Bengaluru, under the aegis of Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India. It has established Centre for HPC Upskilling and Knowledge-sharing (C-HUK) to enable the candidates with the knowledge and proficiency in the areas of HPC, AI, Embedded and Cyber Security as part of the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM).

The program was conducted from Monday, 17th Feb 2025 to Friday, 21st Feb 2025. The participation was invited from various universities and institutions across the country. The objective of the FDP was to enhance and upgrade the knowledge and skills of faculty members by creating awareness about HPC and related technologies and provide induction training including visit to PARAM Utkarsh- a Supercomputer.

Director Dr. Pallavi Jamsandekar, Vice Principal Dr. Pratap Desai and Head of Computer Applications department Dr. Rajendra Pujari have appreciated Dr. Suvarna Patil on successful completion of the FDP. Director Dr. Pallavi Jamsandekar urged all the faculty members to participate in various knowledge enhancement programs organized by government and private organizations.
