In order to give practical exposure of industrial operations, understand production processes, and explore the application of theoretical knowledge in real-world settings, an industrial tour was organized for the students of MBA Second Year on Wednesday. 26th March 2025 and Thursday, 27th March 2025 to Kudal and Tarkarli, Sindhudurg District, Maharashtra. The students visited Vaibhav Tiles, Kudal and Konback Bamboo Industry, Kudal, Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra, known for rich natural resources and emerging industrial activities.
The tour offered the students a unique opportunity to observe diverse manufacturing techniques, sustainable practices, and the economic impact of local industries in the Konkan region.
First industrial organization, Vaibhav Tiles, Kudal, is a prominent manufacturer of natural laterite stone tiles and other construction materials. The company specializes in producing durable, aesthetically appealing tiles that cater to both residential and commercial construction needs. Company official Mr. Rupesh gave students a guided tour of the facility of raw material extraction, cutting and shaping, polishing and finishing and packaging and distribution.
Second industrial organization, Konback Bamboo Industry, Kudal is a pioneering enterprise in the bamboo processing sector. Known for its innovative approach, the company transforms raw bamboo into a variety of products, including furniture, decorative items, and eco-friendly construction materials. It plays a vital role in promoting sustainable livelihoods and boosting the local economy in the Konkan region.
