Every 23rd of March, World Optometry Day is celebrated in our institution.
An Exquisite celebration of WOD 2023 consisted of a several events organized and managed by our Optometry students.
At the beginning of the week an awareness campaign via a Nukkad Natak was performed at various locations in and around Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, Dhankawadi Campus.
The two day celebration was conducted at our college, involved a free eye checkup camp at the clinic, both walk-ins and pre- registration through QR codes from the awareness campaign posters were evaluated. A total of 178 patients were screened.
An explanatory Exhibition by students regarding Eye Health awareness and myth busters through Models, charts and posters which led the visitors to be acquainted with Optometry and Eye Care. The visitors were also suggested to fill up survey forms and feedback.
