Programme Overview

Certificate Programme in Critical Care in Obstetrics is a six-month short-term programme that aims to train the students about clinical care for critical pregnant and obstetric patients. The students will understand the impact of critical illness on pregnant women and hone their skills to quickly diagnose, assess and manage the various conditions.

Programme Outcomes

Comprehensive Knowledge - Through the programme, the students will learn about the various critical illnesses and the indications for critical care admission in the obstetric population.
Clinical Training - Students will be trained to give immediate and appropriate resuscitative measures to critical patients with due consideration for both the mother and fetus.
Evaluation and Management - The students will learn how to critically evaluate and manage both pregnancy-specific and other conditions associated with pregnancy requiring critical care admission.
