Known for its rich cultural heritage, India has over a thousand years of development in the different forms of Arts and Culture. As one of the popular branches of the various art forms, Performing Arts mainly consists of Music, Dance and Drama.

In 2008, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) School of Performing Arts was established to cater to the needs of this section of students.
