Currently, the college is one of the constituent units of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University. The college is accredited with NAAC ‘A’ grade in 2004, re-accredited with an ‘A’ grade in 2011 and for the third cycle in 2017, re-accredited with an ‘A+’ grade.

Established in June 1978, YMC is the first of the initial three institutes created by Bharati Vidyapeeth.
