Architectural Student’s Quiz Competition Architectural Quotient 2022

The vision of AQ is to elevate quizzing standards of architectural students. This vision was initiated in 2008 and it took form in 2011. They have been conducting this quiz for last 8 years as a preparatory platform for grand national quiz ‘ARCHUMEN’ organised by ? ethos !! , Kolkata.

Participants - Total 02 entries registered ( 2 teams each 2 students)

VIT's PVPCoA, Pune hosted an inter-collegiate Quiz in architecture, 'Architectural Quotient (AQ) 2022' for all colleges of Architecture in Pune on 20th Sept, 22, which was started in 2011 by Quiz Master Ar. Prasanna Desai.

Overall 72 entries were received from over 16 architectural colleges in Pune.
The preliminary round conducted for the 72 Teams with 2 students in each team helped select 6 finalist teams for the final round.
2 teams from B.V.D.U. College of Architecture, Pune participated in the competition.
Team 1 - Mohit Patel and Rafe Ahmed from 4th year
Team 2 - Manish Trivedi and Sweety Shekhar from 3rd year
The final round was hosted by Quiz Master Ar. Prasanna Desai which included 8 rounds of quiz conducted in an interesting manner.
The newly introduced Structures round was hosted by Ar. Shekhar Garud.

Out of the 72 teams which participated Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Architecture students Mohit Patel and Rafe Ahmed not only qualified but also won the first place.

The prizes comprised of Certificates & prizes of Rs. 12,000/- for winning team, Rs. 8000/- for the first runners up &Rs. 6000/- for second runners up teams.

The event saw senior structural engineer Er. Chandrakant Godse as the guest of honor for the event while the event was graced by Mr Rajesh Shah, well known businessman, Chairman of Jairaj Group & also a Trustee of Vivekananda Institute of Technology (VIT) Trust. The event was also attended by Trustee & Secretary of VIT trust – MrJitendraPitaliya.

National Level Student Poster Competition-22 : Documenting The Intangible Heritage

The competition was addressed to all the Architecture and Design students from all parts of the country to Identify ONE Intangible Cultural Heritage Practice and/or expression from their region and Document its significance, background, procedural aspects and traditional systems associated on max TWO A2(portrait) sheets .

The Entries on display were also graced by the auspicious visit BY Hon. Dr. Manikrao Salunke, Vice Chancellor, B.V.D.U. who expressed his appreciation at the initiative of the college in a Competition on subject unique and important with the versatility of the richness of raditions and rituals we have and also lauded at the variety of the work on display.
