Social Initiatives

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University cultivates those socially responsible leaders that the world needs.

Apart from imparting knowledge on various subjects in our classroom teaching sessions, we teach our students how to conduct themselves in society.

We have the Department of Students’ Welfare (DSW) that looks after the protection of rights and supervises the welfare activities of students of Constituent Units of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University. DSW is driven by corporate social responsibility. It tries to nurture students' mental, physical, and cultural growth and improve their overall personality.

The Department of Students’ Welfare has undertaken the following social initiatives

Nirbhay Kanya Abhiyan

(Fearless Girl Campaign)

The main objective of this campaign is to build and boost self-confidence and teach female students the techniques to defend themselves in any unforeseen situation. The rigorous training in self-defense makes them fearless and confident and prepares them to be ready to face any unwanted situation. All the female students of all the constituent units of the university are welcome to be a part of this scheme. The university arranges the requisite funds for undertaking this campaign.

Central Placement Cell (CPC)

The objective of the Central Placement Cell is to get students placed in reputed multinational companies, government organizations, NGOs, and private sectors. All students registered with the CPC are provided placement assistance and counseling for employment and self/social entrepreneurship. The CPC also offers logistics support to the visiting companies during the placement process. It acts as an interface between the industry, the institute, and the students.

Soft Skills Programme

This programme emphasises the development of good and effective communication skills and personality development. At present, it has been introduced in a limited number of constituent units. However, in the future, it would be extended to all the colleges and institutes of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University. The response to the program is overwhelming amongst the students with rural backgrounds and overseas students.

Career Guidance Scheme

Some graduates/postgraduate students have a growing interest in pursuing their higher education and research abroad. To fulfill this dream of students, the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University has established Higher Education Career Development Cell. This learning cell offers GRE|GMAT|SAT|ToFEL|IELTS courses under the guidance of a set of professional trainers, who have been training since 1998. This learning cell also offers foreign language courses in French, Spanish, German, and Japanese.

Students’ Safety Insurance Scheme

This scheme is committed to providing a healthy, safe, and secure environment for students, which would enrich their academic experience. It allows the staff in academic and service areas to work without the risk of injury or illness.

Youth Festivals

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University organizes various Youth Festival Programmes to give students an opportunity to celebrate their talent and test their accomplishments at state as well as national levels. The Department of Students' Welfare takes special care to ensure that students from all backgrounds participate in these festivals with great zest.
