Programme Overview

The M.A. English (CBCS 2018 Course) is of two years duration and on completion of the degree programme, one would have learnt about the academic study of English Language and Literature. Students will develop the skill to conduct research on English Language and Literature and understand its principles and institutions.

Programme Outcomes

Ethical and Social Understanding - Post Graduate students will be able to apply ethical standards and also appreciate the social and philosophical context of the discipline in the context of cultural diversity.
Time Management and Self-Learning - The course will enable the students to work and learn in an independent manner and also develop the skill to effectively manage their time.
Research Related Skills - While pursuing the degree course, students will also be able to develop research related skills wherein they will get to know how to critically analyse the literature, data analysis.

Eligibility

Candidates should have completed Bachelor in Optometry or equivalent course from any Indian University, which is member of Indian Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry (IASCO) and is recognized by Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) & Indian Optometric Association or any competent educational body like a national council.
Candidates belonging to Foreign students category should have completed Bachelor in Optometry B.Optom. or equivalent course from any University, which is affiliate member of World Council of Optometry (WCO) and / or is recognized by a competent educational body like a national council / association of the country of origin of the candidate.
Candidates should have completed 21 years of age as on 31 December of the year of admission.
