Programme Overview

Fellowship in Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobial Stewardship is a one-year post-MD/MS programme that trains students in clinical microbiology and antimicrobial stewardship. Antimicrobial Stewardship is the speciality concerned with a systematic approach to optimizing antimicrobial therapy, through a variety of structures and interventions. The programme aims to create specialists who can contribute to the field.

Programme Outcomes

Basics of Microbiology - Students will develop an advanced understanding of laboratory microbiology and virology to diagnose and interpret results.
Building of Skills - Through the programme, the students will build their skills to effectively lead clinical microbiological laboratories and antimicrobial stewardship programmes.
Research - Students will be able to participate in various research projects to gain experience from mentors.
