Programme Overview

Fellowship in Diagnostic Haematology is a one-year post-MD/MS programme that focuses on training the students in the management and medical supervision of a high volume hematology laboratory, evaluation of peripheral blood smears, bone marrow and lymph node biopsies and various other related procedures. The main objective of the fellowship is to create competent specialists who will be trained to work in diagnostic laboratory settings.

Programme Outcomes

  • icon Knowledge - Through the programme, the students will be able to learn about the diagnostic side of haematology – including transfusion, red cell haematology and more.
  • icon Experience - Students will also gain experience in diagnostic laboratory settings and learn how to report blood films in an organized manner.
