Programme Overview

Pediatric Critical Care is a one-year programme that focuses on training the students in recognizing and initiating care and treatment for critically ill pediatric patients. Students who have completed their MD/MS programme will also learn how to work at Paediatric Intensive Care Units and emergency cases so that they can become competent professionals.

Programme Outcomes

Theoretical Knowledge - Students will be able to gain theoretical knowledge regarding the normal physiology and pathophysiology of critical illness in children.
Experience - Through the programme, the students will gain clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of critically infant patients.
Research - The programme will also provide the students an opportunity to perform clinical research relevant to the practice of Paediatric Intensive Care.
