Profile

Dr. Shravan joins IMED with over two decades of experience at the intersection of higher education, corporate innovation, and entrepreneurial ventures. His distinguished career reflects a rare blend of academic leadership, institution-building, product and marketing strategy, and a passion for skilling and industry-academia collaboration.

Dr. Kadvekar has held multiple strategic leadership roles across the academic spectrum. Very recently, at Symbiosis Skills and Professional University, India’s first residential skill university, he served as Director and also as In-charge Vice Chancellor briefly during its formative year. He was instrumental in designing over 40 programs, establishing over 30 industry and international partnerships, and building systems for training, research, and community engagement.

Earlier, he served IMED, Bharati Vidyapeeth, as Associate Professor, Head of Examinations, and member of the Board of Studies, contributing significantly to teaching, academic administration, and curriculum reform.

His entrepreneurial venture, Farak Busilink, aimed at bridging academia, industry, and teachers through an online platform offering teaching tools, content, and training. In the corporate space, he led global product marketing and sales at Harbinger Knowledge Products, a leader in e-learning tools, where he was part of the apex council overseeing product strategy and international market development. He also held senior roles at Softbridge Solutions, managing learning platform development and go-to-market strategies across Asia-Pacific. His early work with Process-Max Solutions and Terra Lycos (USA) involved consulting, business development, and strategic marketing in ITES and digital media domains.

Dr. Kadvekar is known for his enterprising, strategic approach to academic leadership. He emphasizes outcome-based education, industry-integrated curriculum, digital and skill transformation, faculty empowerment, and global partnerships. His work across academia and industry has consistently fostered innovation, institutional growth, and stakeholder collaboration.

His educational qualifications include Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and MBA in Marketing Management from University of Pune, where he was a university rank holder. He later pursued a Master of Science in Information Age Marketing from Bentley University, USA, a top-ranked techno-management program where he was awarded a Graduate Department Assistantship. His academic pursuit culminated in a PhD from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, focused on ICT adoption in higher education—a model that has been validated and recommended at policy levels.

At IMED, Dr. Kadvekar envisions creating a future-ready business school that balances academic excellence with entrepreneurial mindset, research capability, social responsiveness, and deep industry connect—empowering students and faculty alike to thrive in an evolving global ecosystem.
