New Boy’s Hostel

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University Medical College, Pune, provides a home away from home experience for the host élites. There are separate hostels for male and female students equipped with all the basic amenities to ensure that they have a comfortable stay. Recently, new hostel for boys have been added to cater to the needs of the students.

The hostels are supervised by caring and responsible wardens. The college also provides hostel facilities for resident doctors and interns. All the hostel rooms are well-ventilated and furnished and have recreational facilities like TV, internet, indoor games, etc. The common areas of the hostels are under CCTV surveillance 24x7 to ensure the safety of students.

Canteen

We have on-campus canteen facilities for our students, faculty, and staff. From breakfast and lunch to snacks and beverages, it serves a wide variety of freshly-cooked and tasty food at a reasonable rate. It gives special attention to the quality of the food. It has a properly maintained kitchen and a comfortable seating arrangement.

Ragging

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited inside the hostel and college campus.

Facilities

The hostel is 6 storied building having single/double/triple occupancy. Each room is having good ventilation and adequate natural light. Each room has a bed, study table, wardrobe and bathroom with hot and cold water facility and attached toilet. We also provide WI-FI connectivity in common areas, colour TV set with dish connection, 2 automatic lifts with 24 hours’ generator back up, water cooler with RO units, library hall, recreational hall with indoor games, laundry facility, ample parking space etc.

Sports

We have an excellent infrastructure with dedicated spaces for sports facilities for games like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, etc.

As we want our students to be physically fit and healthy individuals, we constantly encourage them to participate in sports activities.

Mess

Considering that students from all parts of India, menu is prepared according to discussion with hostel representative. We provide veg / non-veg menu prepared under proper hygienic condition.

New Ladies’ Hostel

The Medical college has Girls hostel for UG students located in the Campus which has excellent infrastructure, clean and well maintained hygienic in house mess which provides two meals, breakfast, evening snacks, tea and coffee in addition to it there is juice counter, large parking place, In house library, Recreation hall, Indoor games like carom and table tennis, Laundry, Pantry at each floor which has Induction, Fridge and water-cooler.

We provide both A/C and non A/C rooms, each room has attached washroom, study table and chair for each student, and wardrobe for storage. We also have guest rooms if required for the parents or guests. We do provide healthy and homely atmosphere to the girls and all safety rules and regulations are well maintained and taken care of, Cooperative staff including hostel rector are ever ready to help in any hazardous situation like COVID Pandemic .

Safety and Security

We take utmost care for the safety and security of the host élites. Attendance of every student is taken daily from 8:30 – 9:30 pm. Hostel gates are closed at 9 pm daily. Staying outside the hostel without due permission is punishable as an act of indiscipline. Such permission will be given if the student produces letter, mail of the parent or local guardian. Students have to take written permission for coming late, back to the hostel. Smoking, consumption of alcoholic drinks, drugs are strictly banned in the hostel campus. Violation of these rules will call for serious punishment including expulsion of the hostel.

Health Issues

We manage regularly different health issues of the host élites. In this COVID Pandemic, we took utmost care of the COVID positive students. Proper sanitization was done adequately and frequently in the hostel. Sanitizer bottles are kept at the entrance, near the lift, mess area and on each floor. In mess area, tables were kept distantly with capacity of two students per table. Food was served door to door to the affected students.
