Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Environment Education and Research Organises “Sustainability Ideathon 2026” to Foster Student-Led Solutions
Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), through its Green Initiative UniSustain led by IQAC and the Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Environment Education and Research, is organising the Sustainability Ideathon 2026, a university-wide innovation event aimed at encouraging students to develop practical and impactful solutions for sustainability challenges.
The Ideathon is open to all students of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) and invites interdisciplinary teams of 2–4 students to ideate and propose solutions addressing real-world environmental and climate issues. Inter-institutional collaboration among BV(DU) students is strongly encouraged to promote cross-disciplinary learning and innovation.
Thematic areas for the Ideathon include Energy, Mobility, Climate Action, Finance, Water, Biodiversity, Technology, Health, Waste Management, and Recycling, allowing students from diverse academic backgrounds to contribute meaningfully.
Last date for registration is 9 January 2026. Selected teams will participate in an Ideation and Mentoring phase on 12 January 2026, where they will receive expert guidance to refine their ideas. The event will culminate in a Final Pitch Event on 23 January 2026, where teams will present their solutions to an expert jury.
To recognise innovation and excellence, the Ideathon offers attractive cash prizes, with ?25,000 for the First Prize, ?15,000 for the Second Prize, and ?10,000 for the Third Prize.
