Programme Overview

M.D. (Community Medicine) is a three-year postgraduate programme in which the student is prepared to understand and work for the health needs of the society, municipality, or any particular region. During this programme, the students will also dive deeper into nutritional therapy and the role of individual nutrients in maintaining health.

Programme Outcomes

Preparation for Career - Students will be prepared to function as a first-level physician in a community and to recognize and manage common health problems.
Higher Learning - Through the programme, the students will be able to recognize the health needs of the community and learn more about the objectives of the national health policy.
Research - Students will learn how to do literature research, formulate research questions and conduct a study with appropriate tools.
