Programme Overview

Effective from Academic Year 2026-27

The M.Sc. in Climate Action and Sustainability (MCAS) is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to address key environmental challenges. As climate change becomes an increasingly urgent global issue, there is a growing need for professionals who can support sustainable development and implement effective climate action strategies.

This programme combines strong theoretical foundations with practical learning, helping students apply concepts in real-world contexts. Students will develop an understanding of climate science, environmental policies, and the technologies supporting the transition to a low-carbon future.

The programme also highlights the role of social equity and community participation in achieving sustainability goals. Students will interact with experts, work on applied projects, and build the skills required to contribute to climate action at local, national, and global levels.

Eligibility

The candidate should have passed a Bachelor’s degree in any Science subject such as Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Geography, Geology, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Fisheries, Marine Biology, Horticulture, Agriculture, Computer Science, Data Science, Veterinary Science, or Health Sciences, or any branch of Engineering, or relevant Social Science subjects and Management Studies. The candidate should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC categories) at the graduate level.
