Programme Overview

The two years Masters in Dance programme aims at enhancing the skills of the students in the field of dance and it also enables them to learn the new techniques pertaining to the classical as well as the folk dance along with the conventional ones. Students from any stream at the graduation level are eligible to apply for the course.

Programme Outcomes

Get to know history of Indian Music - Students will get to know the historical background of the Indian music and they will also acquire knowledge about the history of Indian music
Theoretical aspects of various dance forms - On completion of the course, students will be well versed with the theory related to Bharatanatyam, Kathak and will also get to know about the various talas.
Knowledge about aesthetics in music - Students will also be taught about the aesthetics in music and dance as well as writing and teaching methodology related to dance.
