Department of Microbiology



The department has two well equipped laboratories with equipments like PCR, Gel-doc, CO2 incubator, a fermenter, UV spectrophotometer, gel electrophoresis, incubator shaker, Laminar air flow and all the basic instruments required for a Microbiology Laboratory. It also has Departmental library with latest hard copies of books and soft copy as E-books, access to INFLIBNET Research Journals, 24 hours internet facility. Faculty and students are engaged in research on various fields in Microbiology such as Food Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Agriculture Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Marine Microbiology. The department runs Ph D. course in Microbiology Dr G .V. Mali Dr. A. A. Jape are the University recognized guides for Ph.D.
