Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune successfully organized the Inaugural Ceremony of the B.Tech. Induction Programme for the Academic Year 2026–27 on 4th August 2026, warmly welcoming newly admitted first-year engineering students to the BVDUCOE family. The programme marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey by introducing students to the institution's vision, values, and opportunities.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Hon'ble Dr. Vivek Saoji, Vice Chancellor , Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), who presided over the function and inspired students to pursue excellence with integrity, innovation, and social responsibility.
The College was honoured to welcome Mr. M. Saiprakash, Managing Director, Accenture in India, as the Chief Guest, whose inspiring keynote address encouraged students to embrace lifelong learning, technological innovation, and leadership in the ever-evolving engineering profession.
The programme was further enriched by the presence of Ms. Christina Fernandes, Senior Director – HR, Pattern India Ltd., who graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Her interactive session provided valuable insights into industry expectations, employability skills, and professional development, motivating students to prepare for successful careers from the very beginning of their academic journey.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Sunita Jadhav, Vice Principal, Dr. Rajesh Prasad, Principal, in his inspiring address, welcomed the newly admitted students and their parents to the BVDUCOE family. He highlighted the College's commitment to quality education, outcome-based learning, industry collaborations, research and innovation, entrepreneurship, and holistic personality development. He motivated students to uphold discipline, integrity, and professional ethics while striving for excellence throughout their engineering journey. Dr. Sachin Chavan, Vice Principal , has proposed the vote of thanks to conclude the function.
Dr. D S Bankar , Head of ELCE department has coordinated the inaugural ceremony.
The event was attended by university dignitaries, faculty members, staff, parents, and students, reflecting the institution's commitment to providing a holistic and inspiring start to engineering education.
