Spardha Technical Event
The Computer Science and Engineering department of Bharati Vidyapeeth University of Pune organized a technical event named “Spardha” on 31st March 2023. The event was a virtual platform based trading competition which tested the capabilities and the knowledge the students had regarding the current stock market. The setting of the computers was done by the faculty and the students.
In the first half of the event the students had to study the market till 1:30 pm and thereafter start trading on the virtual trading platform. In this round the students had access to the internet to study the market and analyze the conditions in which they were opting to trade assets and equities.
After 1:30 pm, students had to start trading before the market closed. The group of students demonstrated their understanding of the stock market by applying their knowledge on a virtual trading platform. Through this platform, the students were able to test their investment strategies and make trades with virtual money, simulating real-world investment scenarios without the risk of losing actual funds. By using their knowledge of the stock market, the students were able to make informed decisions and track the performance of their investments. This experience allowed them to gain practical experience in investing, as well as reinforce their understanding of the stock market and financial concepts. Overall, the virtual trading platform provided the students with a valuable opportunity to apply their knowledge in a practical setting and develop important skills for their future careers.
Overall the event was well received by the participants and attendees. Participants showed great enthusiasm, and in the subject matter.
In a nutshell, Spardha technical event 2023 organized by the Computer Science and Engineering Department of Bharati Vidyapeeth University was a successful event that provided an outstanding opportunity for participants to showcase their knowledge of trading in the stock market. The event was well structured and with excellent coordination, the team received positive feedback.
