The present disclosure envisages a road divider that comprises a molded reinforced polymeric hollow body defining a void therein, and compressible force cushioning material that is filled at least partially in the void. In one exemplary embodiment, the hollow body of the road divider is free standing and comprises feet members that are extended as flanges from the body. Opposing wall members are then operatively vertically from the feet members and are joined at the apex. The composite road divider of the present disclosure possesses good impact strength, is light weight, is easy to handle, has a long life, and exhibits increase in the tensile and flexural strength.
