An interactive 'Awareness Session' on “Electronic Waste (E-waste) Management” was organized at NLC Pune on 05/08/2026 to educate students on electronic waste, its sources, environmental & health hazards, safe disposal methods and role of individuals in effective e-waste management.
The session was conducted by Ms. Mary Mukherjee as part of the initiative by Teach India, the ‘Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) division’ of the “Times of India, Mumbai”, in collaboration with “Mercedes”.
A 'Permanent E-waste Collection Bin' was installed on the college premises.
A few student ambassadors were also designated to coordinate with peers, promote regular e-waste collection, monitor usage of the collection bin and to act as point of contact for ongoing awareness activities with the college.
